On February 8th, 1996 Ken Watling established Lightning Equipment Sales. Starting off from humble beginnings, with its offices in his family home and only an F150 Pickup truck, and a bumper crane. He then drove across Ontario to begin building his business and growing his customer base face to face.

In early 2008, Ken realized that the business has outgrown its home office, and in June on 2008 moved into a 2100 sq/ft building. This new location enabled Lightning Equipment Sales to store more inventory, have separate offices, a workshop, and a small show room.

In August 2014, Lightning Equipment Sales relocated and opened its doors to a 6200 sq/ft building which included 6 offices, a larger showroom, a product shop and an overflow shop! Since moving into this building, we have been able to expand our business, once again allowing us to better serve our customers .

In 2022, after weathering the storm of supporting our customers through unprecedented times, Lightning Equipment rebranded and developed a web presence that allows us to reach new clients and support our existing ones quickly and easily nationwide.

AS OF 2024, WE HAVE EXPANDED OUR SQUARE FOOTAGE TO ACCOMMODATE IN HOUSE INSTALLATION SERVICES, MORE INVENTORY IN STOCK, AND A LARGER TEAM OF SALES EXPERTS TO ASSIST OUR AMAZING CLIENTS. ANOTHER WEBSITE UPDATE FOR A SEAMLESS EXPERIENCE, AND READY FOR OUR CONTINUED GROWTH.
